A self-made-man, Italo-Belgian virtuoso drummer Bruno Castellucci has been a leading musician worldwide for over five decades.
He can be heard on hundreds of recordings and in thousands of concerts, from the few leaders with whom he has played for sometimes more than thirty or forty years, such as Toots Thielemans, Peter Herbolzheimer, Jan Akkerman, to many other luminaries such as Jaco Pastorius, Chet Baker, Herbie Hancock, Quincy Jones, Stan Getz, Chaka Khan, Sammy Davis Jr. John Scofield, the Count Basie Big Band, Astor Piazzola, …. It would be much quicker to draw up a list of our favorite musicians with whom he has not played.
With his group Legacy, he is celebrating a career spanning over sixty years, as well as his 80th birthday in 2024. To this end, he has surrounded himself with world-class Belgian musicians, who can be found in numerous projects, both Belgian and international.
Castellucci Legacy’s music travels easily through various styles and influences of the jazziztic heritage, putting its very personal stamp on it, by means of original compositions and arrangements of great standards, underlining the interactivity of the band members, and the fluidity of their musical communication.
A resounding success as the only musical group at the celebrations of the centenary of music pedagogue Dante Agostini in 2022 in Urbino, Italy, the group is now performing for the first time in Belgium.

Self-made-man, le batteur virtuose italo-belge Bruno Castellucci est un musicien de premier plan dans le monde entier depuis plus de cinq décennies.
On peut l’entendre sur des centaines d’enregistrements et dans des milliers de concerts, depuis les quelques leaders avec lesquels il a joué pendant parfois plus de trente ou quarante ans, comme Toots Thielemans, Peter Herbolzheimer, Jan Akkerman, jusqu’à de nombreuses autres sommités telles que Jaco Pastorius, Chet Baker, Herbie Hancock, Quincy Jones, Stan Getz, Chaka Khan, Sammy Davis Jr. , John Scofield, le Count Basie Big Band, Astor Piazzola, …. Il serait beaucoup plus rapide de dresser une liste de nos musiciens préférés avec lesquels il n’a pas joué.
Avec son groupe Legacy, il célèbre ses plus de soixante ans de carrière, ainsi que son 80ème anniversaire en 2024. Il s’est entouré à cet effet de musiciens belges de niveau mondial, que l’on retrouve dans de nombreux projets, tant belges qu’internationaux.
La musique du groupe Castellucci Legacy voyage aisément à travers divers styles et influences de l’héritage jazziztique, en y mettant son cachet très personnel, au moyen de compositions et d’arrangements originaux de grands standards, en soulignant l’interactivité des membres du groupe, et la fluidité de leur communication musicale.
Ayant remporté un franc succès comme unique groupe musical lors des célébrations du centenaire du pédagogue de la musique Dante Agostini en 2022 à Urbino, Italie, le groupe se produit pour la première fois en Belgique.

Als selfmade man is de Belgisch-Italiaanse virtuoze drummer Bruno Castellucci al meer dan vijf decennia een toonaangevende muzikant over de hele wereld.
Hij is te horen op honderden opnames en in duizenden concerten, van de paar leiders met wie hij soms meer dan dertig of veertig jaar heeft gespeeld, zoals Toots Thielemans, Peter Herbolzheimer en Jan Akkerman, tot vele andere grootheden zoals Jaco Pastorius, Chet Baker, Herbie Hancock, Quincy Jones, Stan Getz, Chaka Khan, Sammy Davis Jr. John Scofield, de Count Basie Big Band, Astor Piazzola, …. Het zou veel sneller zijn om een lijst op te stellen van onze favoriete muzikanten met wie hij niet heeft gespeeld.
Met zijn groep Legacy viert hij een carrière die meer dan zestig jaar omspant en viert hij zijn 80e verjaardag in 2024. Hij heeft zich omringd met Belgische muzikanten van wereldklasse, die terug te vinden zijn in tal van projecten, zowel Belgische als internationale.
De muziek van Castellucci Legacy beweegt zich moeiteloos door de verschillende stijlen en invloeden van het jazzpatrimonium en drukt er zijn zeer persoonlijke stempel op door middel van originele composities en arrangementen van grote standards, waarbij de interactiviteit van de groepsleden en de vloeiendheid van hun muzikale communicatie benadrukt worden.
Na groot succes als enige muziekgroep bij de viering van het honderdjarig bestaan van muziekpedagoog Dante Agostini in 2022 in Urbino, Italië, treedt de groep voor het eerst op in België.
